The calculation is based on the Municipal Standard and the one-off setup. Individual extensions and optional services may incur additional costs.

Frequently asked questions about pricing
How much does Decidim cost?
Decidim is open source and free of licence fees. Costs arise for setup, hosting, maintenance and support. At the Partizipationsbüro, packages start at €125 per month; the Municipal Standard costs €275 per month, each plus a one-off setup fee.
What does “users” mean?
This refers to registered user accounts on the platform. The Municipal Standard applies to municipalities with up to 10,000 residents and includes up to 2,500 accounts. Visitors without an account can also read all content.
What is included in the monthly price?
GDPR-compliant hosting on servers in Germany, platform maintenance and updates, and all standard Decidim features such as idea collection, surveys, participatory budgeting and petitions.
Which costs are mandatory and which are optional?
The monthly platform operation and the one-off setup with installation are mandatory. Initial configuration by us as well as consulting, training, web design and custom development are optional and are only charged if you commission them.
